Μια μέρα σαν τη σημερινή, βροχερή. 8 Δεκέμβρη 1980, ήρθαν τα νέα από τη Νέα Υόρκη. Δολοφόνησαν τον Λένον έξω από το σπίτι του… Τα ραδιόφωνα θυμάμαι είχαν πλημμυρίσει από τις νότες του Imagine. Ακόμα και τότε, 10 χρόνια μετά την κυκλοφορίά του πρώτου μετά τους Beatles προσωπικού δίσκου του Λένον όπου περιλαμβανόταν, το Working Class Hero έμενε εκεί στο ημίφως των «ειδημόνων» σαν παράξενο αίνιγμα που αναλάμβανες την υπέροχη ευθύνη να ξεδιαλύνεις ψαχουλεύοντας στο σκοτεινό δωμάτιο τ’ ακόρντα καθώς η βελόνα κυλούσε στ’ αυλάκια του δίσκου. Με τον καιρό, τα λόγια αυτά του Λένον διέλυσαν τη σιωπή καθώς καθημερινά αποκαλύπτονται όλο και πιο καίρια στο γόνιμο φως του Δεκέμβρη.
